Chest — measure 1" below the armhole, across the fullest part, and double it.
Shoulder — seam to seam across the back.
Sleeve — shoulder seam to cuff end.
Length — highest point of the shoulder to the hem.

A cream windowpane drawn over a deep brown ground, with a hint of plum in it. The squares are large and the lines single, so the pattern stays clean rather than busy.

One of the darker shirts in the range — good with indigo denim.

Cut in linen, so it breathes in the heat and softens with every wash. The slub and the easy creases are part of the cloth.
